You’ll need internet access to explore the app, search for tours, and use features like live directions or Ask Guru. However, you can download tours in advance and use them offline — perfect for areas with limited connectivity or when you're traveling without roaming. Offline access includes maps, audio, and points of interest, but excludes directions and real-time Q&A.
How do I download the app?
We’re launching soon! MyGuideGuru will be available on both iOS and Android. Just search “MyGuideGuru” in the App Store or Google Play Store to download.
Is the app free to use?
Browsing and searching tours is completely free. You only pay when you're ready to unlock a tour. You can either purchase tours individually or subscribe for unlimited access and exclusive features like Ask Guru.
Do I need to create an account to use the app?
You can explore basic features without an account, but to save your tours, make purchases, or unlock premium features like Ask Guru, you'll need to sign up.
What locations are available?
You can use MyGuideGuru anywhere in the world. Search "Near Me" to generate a custom tour in your current location, or search for a specific city or town or even suburb! If a location doesn't yet have enough content for a tour, we’ll let you know — and if one becomes available later, we’ll notify you.
Can I customise my walking tour?
Yes! You can select your preference for tour theme and travel method (walking or biking). We’re also working on new personalization features — let us know what you'd love to see!
Can I ask questions on the go?
Absolutely! With Ask Guru, our intelligent travel assistant, you can ask questions in real-time while exploring. Just make sure you have internet or roaming enabled for it to work.
How do I share my tour?
Once you’ve purchased a tour, tap the share icon above the tour summary. You can share it with one travel companion. Choose carefully —once someone accepts your invite, you won’t be able to add another.
How do I find my recommendations?
After purchasing a tour, you’ll find personalized recommendations below the tour description and within each stop summary — available before, during, and after your tour. Swipe right to explore five suggestions in each category: food, drinks, attractions, and local customs to try!
What if I find a bug or something isn't working?
We’re still improving! If you spot a bug or have technical issues, please send screenshots and a quick description to hello@myguideguru.com — it helps us a lot.
Can I get a refund?
At this time, we don’t offer refunds. If you experience any issues with the app or your tour, please contact us at hello@myguideguru.com — we’re here to help and want to make it right.
Do I need to be careful while using the app?
While MyGuideGuru helps you discover amazing places, your safety is your responsibility. Always follow local laws, road rules, and signage. If you're biking, wear a helmet and use bike-safe routes. Stay aware of your surroundings, avoid using headphones in busy areas, and respect local customs. You explore at your own risk, so please use common sense and stay safe out there!
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can manage or cancel your subscription directly through your device’s App Store or Google Play settings.
Are the tours guided by real people or AI?
Tours are generated using AI, tailored to your preferences and location. They're designed for self-guided discovery, not live guides — so you can explore at your own pace.
How is the content created?
MyGuideGuru uses AI to curate historical, cultural, and local insights from trusted sources — designed to give you a smart, enriching and personalized experience with every tour.
